Thomas Blinks specialised as a sporting and animal artist. He was born in Maidstone. His first exhibition was at The Royal Society of British Artists in 1882 and regularly at The Royal Academy from 1883 to 1910. He was to become one of the best painters of Foxhounds including working dogs. He aslo exhibited many racing pictures. He worked in both oil and watercolour. His horses showed very good action probably becauseof his great love for horses and hounds. Eighty of his works were produced as prints with some of his works being engraved by J B Pratt.
